Thank You

A sincere thank you for all your wonderful comments about the Chanel. The learning was very necessary!

Next up is BWOF 9-2009-127, a double breasted short jacket coat in a black french wool mohair boucle with neon pink silk charmeuse lining. It looked bubblegum pink online, it arrived as brilliant neon. Yikes-it's bright-but cheerful.

Merry Christmas to all and a safe and happy New Year. All my children are home-the high schooler and the middle schooler, except one college student who sits for a final tomorrow evening here in town, and the other college student who is driving across the mid west tomorrow-before the predicted blizzard, I hope. I can breathe once he puts his dirty wash in the laundry room, and nukes his bedroom floor with his possessions.

Ahhh, the spirit of the season......it's all good.........

  1. Merry Christmas to you, too! Hope you're enjoying the time away from the gremlins, er... I mean, students... I know I am! Hope Santa leaves you some sewing goodies under the tree!

  2. This very jacket is on my To Be Considered list, so I'm eager to see it on you. Have a wonderful holiday with all the kids safely at home (until they leave you and DH to party with their friends, that is).

  5. Now I'm really looking forward to seeing how you get on with this jacket - it's on my list of 'things that I would really love to make'. It's such a nice style and I think black wool mohair boucle will be very chic.

  7. Oh, I can't wait to see how this turns out. I've had my eye on this pattern for a while and just haven't gotten around to it. I really like the line drawing, but Burda's photo of it (if I recall it's some sort of action shot shown from the side!) doesn't give the greatest idea of how it looks on a real person. Good luck and I hope it comes out beautifully.
