Greetings

Readers,

I just reread my last blog post, and noticed I took the month of January off . A quick calculation, and I see I also took the month of February off as well. Yikes, I had a bad case no sewing mojo. Well I did sew some knits but nothing post worthy. Has anyone out there contracted this same condition? Well I am back, ideas and fabric to match, and some time reorganization to make some sewing a possibility.

I love jackets. BWOF 11/2007/113

Longer look and angled princessy type seam lines, one button.

Of course I had to make it in black. A lightweight novelty brocade wool suiting from EOS. A perfect fabric if you want the weight of linen, but can't stand the crinkle factor of linen. That's me. Looks like tiny ribbon pieces from the fabric. It is actually quite cute fabric. The button is attached with a pin temporarily, and the angled lines are displayed clearly in the only photo I have right now.

Thank you for all your kind words about my trenchcoat below. I received Honorary Mention and a gift card for.......MORE FABRIC. I could not have been more excited. I am entering this contest again next year. It is great incentive to sew "on your very best behavior....."

Happy Spring Everyone!!! Liberty, linen, silk matka, and silk/cotton....yeh!!!!

  1. Hi! I hadn't posted anything worth reading in several weeks also - until today when I posted about a t-shirt I made - woo hoo! I really like your jacket - the seams in the front are really stylish...

  2. Wonderful work! I was thinking about making the trench too and all that work you put into reminded me why I would have never finished it. Great job.

  5. Great blazer.

I hear that the condition is going around. I think it must be contagious.

  8. Yay about the trench coat! And that blazer…très chic! More photos, please. Me too, I've been sewing but nothing really blogworthy. I go through periods of feeling like I have nothing to say or that is worth sharing.

  9. I love the fabric on your jacket. I have had the no blog mojo...pictures, downloading....I am lazy! And my sewing has been non-post worthy too. Tan skirt anyone? I think not...

    Here is to spring!!
